Panel Discussion with Robert Kraft | Primary Wave

On April 5th, thanks to UM's Music Industry Association and Frost School of Music UM, I had the privilege of moderating a panel discussion featuring an esteemed guest speaker, Robert Kraft! Robert is an award-winning songwriter, film composer, recording artist, record producer and successful executive/entrepreneur whom I had the pleasure of connecting with during my incredible internship this past summer at Primary Wave!

Moderating a panel with Robert Kraft was an incredible experience. His decades of work—from songwriting and producing to leading creative ventures—offered invaluable insights on creativity, collaboration, and adaptability in today’s music industry. Hearing about his journey from artist to executive reinforced my excitement for pursuing a career in this dynamic field.

I’m grateful to Professors Guillermo Page and Serona Elton for their guidance in making this event possible, and to Robert, Jared Auslander, and the Primary Wave team for their ongoing mentorship and support. Opportunities like this remind me why I’m passionate about connecting artists, audiences, and ideas in music.
