Creator Partnerships at °1824 - Universal Music Group
From October 16–19, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the °1824 Invitationals Conference in Los Angeles, California, hosted by Universal Music Group. The experience was truly unforgettable. From engaging panel discussions with executives across UMG’s many labels and brands to intimate performances by the next generation of artist signings, every moment was filled with insight, creativity, and inspiration. The conference gave me a deeper understanding of what it means to work in music at the highest level—and left me more motivated than ever to continue building a career in this industry.
What made the experience even more meaningful was the chance to connect in person with the talented individuals I work with every day, as well as with new faces across the °1824 network. It was empowering to be surrounded by such a passionate, creative, and driven group of people who are all united by a love for music and content creation. From early morning sessions to late-night performances, I left Los Angeles feeling inspired, energized, and beyond proud to be a part of the °1824/UMG community.
The conference was a major highlight of my first few months working at °1824—Universal Music Group’s award-winning creative agency for college-aged content creators—as a Creator Partnerships Representative. Since starting in this role, my experience has been nothing short of incredible. I’ve had the privilege of building relationships with an amazing group of creators from across the globe and collaborating on impactful, creator-led campaigns for a wide range of artists, including Maroon 5, Ariana Grande, Stevie Wonder, and Samara Joy.
One of the most exciting parts of this role has been the opportunity to bridge the worlds of music and sports, working to strengthen and expand °1824’s relationships with student-athletes and collegiate programs. Helping college athletes tap into their passion for music and channel it into content creation has been an exciting challenge—and a meaningful way to help them connect more deeply with their audiences and communities. Whether it's facilitating UGC campaigns, pitching creator concepts, or scouting rising talent, every day brings something new, and I genuinely love the fast-paced, collaborative environment this role offers.
None of this would be possible without the incredible people I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside. I am so grateful to Carly Schwartz for being such an inspiring mentor and for constantly pushing me to grow as a creative and a professional. A huge thank-you as well to Wes Davenport and the entire °1824 management team for their support, trust, and leadership. I also want to shout out my Creator Partnerships team—you all bring so much energy, imagination, and dedication to everything we do. Working with you has been one of the best parts of this job.
As I reflect on everything we've accomplished in the past few months—from unforgettable in-person moments at the conference to powerful digital campaigns and creator relationships—I couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead. This team continues to raise the bar, and I’m so proud to be part of it.
Here’s to more music, more creativity, and even more growth in 2025. Let’s keep building something special. Happy New Year—and go CP!
