Coop3rDrumm3r “Ignite The Fire” Apprenticeship

This past March, I had the amazing opportunity to visit the studio of renowned YouTube drummer and creator, Casey Cooper! Throughout the weekend, I learned the latest approaches to recording, filming, editing and producing drum covers and original works to post on social media. From setting up drums and mics to making final video edits, Casey gave me a crash course into the creation of a professional YouTube video. We filmed a duo drum cover to the song “Live Like a Warrior” by Matisyahu. With Casey’s guidance, I recorded, mixed, and edited the entire project!

I have since become adept in setting up mics, cameras and interfaces for studio filming/recording and using Logic Pro and iMovie to mix and edit. I cannot thank Casey enough for the incredible experience! He is a great guy and super dedicated to entertaining, encouraging and inspiring musicians all around the world.
